Reflection
In my learning process of the Korean language, I've been learning the key words and phrases of each chapter as I go. I've been doing review exercises on myTIMeS and attempting them until I get everything correct. I’ve also been introducing Korean expressions to my family members.
What I have achieved is that I’m able to read aloud Korean words without using romanisation. I’m able to construct grammatically correct sentences to introduce myself, to introduce my family, and to tell of where a person is, with the help of reference to some vocabulary in the learning materials. I’m able to understand Korean expressions a little bit better than before while watching Korean dramas.
What I've been finding challenging is to stay motivated and attentive during my Korean classes, maybe because there have been so many of them throughout every week. I haven't had much time to study the learning materials on my own. I’ve been finding it challenging to balance between classes, quizzes, and assignment.
A future opportunity might be that I'll get to move on to the Korean 2 elective module in Taylor's University. I might also get to communicate basic sentences when I visit Korea in the future.
